Press Release August 18, 2008: OTB Solar presents new products at 23rd European Photovoltaic Conference, Valencia Sept. 1-5

OTB Solar BV, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, a leading supplier of high-end solar cell production equipment, announces the presentation of its latest product developments at the 23rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Valencia, Spain from September 1 - 5.

The annual European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU-PVSEC) is the most important conference in the field of Photovoltaics. The global solar branche will be present to discuss new developments in the industry. OTB Solar has a significant presence at the Exhibition and will introduce its latest product developments.

OTB Solar’s new METx is a metallization screen printer with high production volume at compact foot print and extremely easy to operate. The system puts a series of metallization layers on wafers,  that are used to make solar cells. Production and process knowledge are combined to enable high uptime and low breakage rates. In Valencia the new METx will be demonstrated in the OTB booth.

OTB Solar will also present the latest generation of the DEPx product family: the DEPx2400. DEPx is OTB Solar’s succesfull product range of Silicon Nitride Deposition Equipment with the World’s highest deposition rate. The equipment features high throughput, excellent layer uniformity and surface passivation and low maintenance requirements as well as minimal foot print for optimal space consumption.

Both DEPx and METx can be integrated in OTB Solar’s turnkey fully automated solar cell production solution: LINEx.
